Please read below. We've made changes to the tournament, and it's not exactly what you're used to.

The 2015 Gotham Open returns to New Jersey, but now in the more suburban setting of Morris County.

Cost for hotels and banquet space in Jersey City has skyrocketed.  Moving 30 minutes west will save our bowlers and our tournament on hotel/banquet costs as well as parking and other expenses that are not necessary to you or us.

The Hyatt Morristown at Headquarters Plaza has given us a rate of $109 per night based on single and double occupancy with complementary parking, room internet, and use of their 40,000 square foot fitness center.  The hotel is located in the downtown area and within walking distance of many shops, bars, and restaurants including Veronica's, where our awards cocktail party will be taking place Sunday afternoon.

Yes, Awards Cocktail Party.  We've hosted some long banquets here at Gotham, but not this time. Sunday afternoon at Veronica's it's going to be a two to two and a half hour cocktail party with tasty finger foods and hors d'oeuvres. It will be a cash bar at lower drink prices than your normal hotel banquet with a much larger selection. Also, the Awards Cocktail Party is OPTIONAL.  You can't stay, then don't pay.  When you apply to enter the tournament, be sure to click to attend the event. It's not included in your Gotham Open 2015 entry fee and may not be available at registration.

What else is different? The bowling house.  Nationwide Hanover Lanes, located on busy Route 10 in East Hanover,is about a 10 minute drive from the host hotel with a full service bar, snack bar, and 32 synthetic lanes.  Same as Hudson, only smaller. And since we're only doing one shift, we max out at 128 bowlers, so get your application in early. 

We're also changing the order of bowling. Team first then doubles on Saturday. Singles on Sunday.  More details on the schedule of events page.  Registration will be at Hanover Lanes on Friday night and lanes will be available for practice.

Our prize fund will also be higher.  The entry fee of $99 includes $65 for prize fund. $25 for the team event and $20 each for singles and doubles. (it used to be $10 each event and $5 all events) If the tournament sells out, first place in the tournament's three events will get at least $400. "All Events" is OPTIONAL and will be a $25 entry fee. 100% of All events entry fees will be paid as prize fund.  Some of the funds raised  pre-tournament, and over the weekend will also be added to the prize fund.  We're also offering 6 optional scratch divisions, best 3 of 6, and best 3 of 9, which you can enter with your application, as well as brackets and mega-brackets during the tournament events.
